Original, practical cybersecurity and compliance guidance from Calculated Ventures, LLC. Our resources are written for system owners, information security teams, federal contractors, and small organizations that need methods they can actually apply. They complement—not replace—authoritative NIST/CISA guidance, customer policies, or professional review.

Start with a field guide

RMF Evidence That Holds Up to Review

Evidence register, seven RMF stages, scan traceability, and review gates.

From CISA KEV Alert to Verified Fix

Identify affected assets, assign remediation, and verify closure.

AI Governance: The First 30 Days

Inventory AI uses, establish risk gates, and test human oversight.

Patch Management That Survives an Audit

Turn patching into a reviewable preventive-maintenance process.

First Hour of a Security Incident

Use a command structure and decision log before facts are lost.

Free Threat Pulse tools and live cybersecurity intelligence

Threat Pulse is our free cybersecurity-information publication. It uses CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities data to support timely awareness and offers practical guides without requiring registration or uploading customer data. The feed shows public source information; it does not assert that any visitor’s specific system is vulnerable.

How we approach publication quality

Each resource aims to explain a defined workflow, include an original example, distinguish observed evidence from assumptions, and point back to authoritative standards. We do not invent CVE-to-control mappings, fake scan results, or assert that a checklist grants compliance. Update dates reflect editorial revision or source changes—not an invented publication schedule.

Find a broken link, outdated source, or unclear instruction? Email Inquiry@calculatedit.com with the page and correction. Sensitive scan files and customer records should not be submitted through an unsolicited email or public web form.

Need a team to implement the workflow?

Calculated Ventures provides RMF and ATO support, AI governance consulting, and training and workforce development. Organizations that need help transforming properly authorized Nessus/ACAS outputs into human-reviewed evidence can review the RMF Accelerator pilot. The pilot is scoped; deliverables require quality assurance and qualified human review.
